New Release v0.17.0
Introducing the new SMI memory infrastructure
In this release we’re introducing our new memory infrastructure - SMI (scalable multiprotocol infrastructure).
There is no need to update your tooling to take advantage of these new features.
Our current version is
reco v0.5.0. Please run
reco version from a terminal, and if you have a version other than that, please click here for update instructions.
Our new memory infrastructure, SMI, provides improvements to how we get our FPGAs talking to memory. These improvements include:
- Projects are easier to scale
- Higher bandwidth across multiple goroutines
- Simpler code, less boilerplate
This is a test release as we’re still working on optimising the protocol. We wanted to give you access so you can see the potential of applying it to your applications, and so we can iron out any issues that come up.
For a full description, please see our blog post on SMI here.
And for a for a full rundown of this release, see our release notes.
Currently, we’re working on improving our web app, and creating some new tutorials to help you get the most out of our service. If there’s anything you’d like to see us cover, please let us know here.
